1 . I have used the older Presto model for well over 30 years without problems. The new one I received worked ok about 10 times and then I was unable to open the lid with cooked food (broccoli) inside. I ended up putting the whole thing in trash pickup. Thank goodness I still have my old Presto and it is working well. I am an experienced user of pressure cooking. I think the problem resides with the newer model safety designs. Hopefully my comments will be of use somewhere.

2. As much as I shop on Amazon all the time I have rarely felt compelled to write reviews for the products I have bought. Having said that, I use this pressure cooker so often that I would be doing it a disservice by not reviewing it. This little pot has seriously changed my cooking habits almost entirely, it is my most used piece of cookware in the kitchen by far. I bought this pot because I had never cooked with a pressure cooker before and the price was right for a starter. I can't really see myself spending $200+ on an electric cooker, as far as I can tell this pot is able to do everything the electric ones can with little monitoring. I do wish that the handles were made of something more durable than plastic, they came un-attached and I really had to muscle the screw in so that it wouldn't come loose, but in the months that I have been using it I haven't had it come loose yet. If I were to need to get another one I would recommend getting a larger pot, this is good if you're cooking for only a few but it is pretty small. If you're even slightly considering getting a pressure cooker than this is the way to go, I've made several soups, chili, carnitas, pizza sauce, and it makes stocks in a fraction of the time it would normally take. Most of those things I have never made before as I usually don't have the time to spend half a day making a stew or a stock, but with this cooker everything I have made has taken less then an hour. Highly recommended!

3. Excelente no es algo moderno esta de tamano lo que yo necesito pero para una familia de 4 creo es muy pequena, para mi esposo y yo perfecta, para que tengan una idea solo puedes hacer medio kilo de frijol y apenitas cabe. Pero esta muy practica y no pesa nada. La recomiendo

4. I'm very happy with it. It was easy to assemble as well. The only problem is I couldn't find replacement sealing rings (for future use) for this product on Amazon. I contacted Presto customer service and they said they are available, at least through their website. (For reference, the complete model number of this product is 0124104, not 01241.)
